It offers tabs which can be displayed around the main browser window, and lanes whereby an array of Web sites can be viewed within a single window -- great for comparing web sites at a glance.

Tablane also uniquely provides a content management system whereby groups of bookmarks, Web pages and notes are made extremely easy to edit and manage as a 'Collection' (saved in the RSS XML format).

This makes it much easier to share search results and Web sites visited with others.

Tablane is not tied in to any search engine. Its multi-search feature allows several search engines to be used simultaneously, with results displayed in individual lanes, tabs, or windows.

This is fully customizable, so specialist search engines can be incorporated.
