You will find LogMeIn to be more useful than you first realize. Great for everyone, including those who travel, students, office workers who like to work from home as well as any regular home PC user. What's great about LogMeIn is that it is the simplest installation. No problems fiddling with firewalls or port forwarding. The interface is easy to navigate. LogMeIn's competitors (such as GoToMyPC and PCAnywhere) may look spiffier, but they all offer similar features, such as file transfering and folder sync. However, they are more expensive and not as easy to deploy. LogMeIn's security features are equal if not better than theirs. My coworkers and friends were quick to figure out how to use LogMeIn and said its been very handy tool. I've also found that the pro version works nicely if we need to remote access with our PDAs. I wish LogMeIn worked better with my Mac. Regardless, for a free prodcut, its truly impressive. Not often you get something so well developed. They even provide (helpful!) customer service to everyone, including those with the free version. In short, if you have been looking for remote access, choose LogMeIn before plunking down money elsewhere
